Clear sourcing, short ingredient lists

Ingredients you can recognise

Darevix blends start with a simple rule: every ingredient should have a purpose you can taste. We choose fruit for body and brightness, vegetables for freshness and balance, and small botanical accents for aroma. Because farm-led production changes with harvest windows, we document seasonal swaps instead of hiding them. This page explains what we typically use, how we source within Ireland when possible, and how we keep labels accurate from pressing day to bottle.

Ingredient groups

Most blends combine a fruit base, a balancing element, and an accent. We keep each bottle readable so you can quickly identify what is inside.

How we source in Ireland

We prioritise Irish orchards and growers when quality and season align. Apples are a core ingredient for body and sweetness, and Irish varieties help us keep blends consistent across months. For berries, we lean on seasonal availability and keep the recipe flexible, updating labels when fruit changes. When an ingredient cannot be sourced in Ireland due to season or supply, we select the best available option and keep the blend description honest so you know what to expect in taste and aroma.

Our approach is to provide enough information to be useful without overpromising. We do not claim that every ingredient is always local. We do commit to clear labeling and to answering sourcing questions promptly through our contact form and email.

Orchard fruit

Apples and pears provide structure, gentle sweetness, and a clean finish. We use them as a base so blends remain drinkable even when accents like ginger or greens are included.

Citrus notes

Citrus brings brightness and helps lift the aroma. We balance acidity with orchard fruit so blends stay refreshing rather than sharp. Citrus is also a key component of our yellow and orange-forward profiles.

Greens and crisp veg

Cucumber, celery, and leafy greens are chosen for a clean taste and light texture. We avoid heavy, bitter profiles by pairing greens with fruit and by keeping portions consistent across batches.

Roots and botanicals

Ginger, mint, and similar accents are used for lift, not intensity. We keep accents readable on labels and we aim for a steady flavour curve so you do not get a strong spike in the first sip.

Seasonal swaps, explained

Real-world farming means ingredients can vary, especially for berries, leafy greens, and herbs. Instead of treating these changes as a secret, we document them. When a component shifts, we update the product description and label for the next batch. The goal is to keep the flavour intent consistent, not to pretend the same fruit is always available year-round. If you are ordering for an event or you have a strong preference, contact us before you buy and we will confirm what is in the current press.

Common swaps are designed to be like-for-like in taste: a different apple variety, a mint-to-lemon adjustment, or a cucumber-to-celery balance change based on freshness. We do not substitute ingredients that would change the character of a blend without updating the label.

What you will see on labels

Each bottle includes an ingredient list, a short flavour description, and a batch reference. If a recipe changes between batches, the label changes with it so you can choose confidently.

Ingredient list
Short and direct

Ingredients are listed clearly, without vague categories. If a seasonal swap occurs, the ingredient name is updated for the next batch.

Flavour notes
What to expect

We describe taste in plain language: crisp, citrus-forward, lightly herbal. This helps you choose without relying on health claims.

Batch reference
Traceable notes

Batch references let us answer questions about what was pressed and when. This is helpful for availability checks and customer support.

Ingredient FAQ

These answers are written to help you make a clear choice. If your question is about a specific bottle, use the contact page and include the product name and, if available, the batch reference. We do not provide medical advice and we avoid broad health claims, but we can always clarify what is inside a blend and how it is described.

Are your ingredients always sourced in Ireland?

We prioritise Irish-grown produce when it is in season and meets our quality needs, especially apples and certain berries. Some ingredients are not consistently available year-round within Ireland. In those cases, we choose a high-quality alternative and keep the label accurate for that batch.

Do you add sugar, concentrates, or artificial flavours?

Our core blends are built from whole produce and simple accents like ginger or mint. We describe each product clearly on the products page. If a blend uses something outside the standard list, we state it plainly so you can decide if it is right for you.

Why does the taste change slightly between batches?

Natural variation happens with fresh produce: apples can be sweeter later in the season, greens can be more aromatic after a cold snap, and berries vary by harvest. We aim for consistency through recipe targets, but we also respect the ingredient. When a swap is needed, we update labels for the next batch.

How should I store juice to keep flavour fresh?

Keep bottles chilled, avoid leaving them in warm areas, and gently shake before opening to recombine natural settling. For event planning or bulk ordering, contact us so we can advise based on the specific products you want and the timing of pressing days.
